How To Increase The Speed Of Firefox

Technorati Technorati Tags : , ,

Now here are some Tips&Tricks that can help you double the speed of Firefox. Just follow the instruction/command highlighted in red.

1. Type about:config in the address bar and then press Enter.

2. In the filter search bar type network.http.pipelining

Be sure the value field is set to true, if not double-click to set true. HTTP is the application-layer protocol that most web pages are transferred with. In HTTP 1.1, multiple requests can be sent before any responses are received. This is known as pipelining. Pipelining reduces page loading times, but not all servers support it.

3. Go back to the filter search bar and type network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Double-click this option and sets its value to 8

4. Go back to the filter search bar and type network.http.proxy.pipelining Once opened double click on it and set it to true.

5. In IPv6-capable DNS servers, an IPv4 address may be returned when an IPv6 address is requested. It is possible for Mozilla to recover from this misinformation, but a significant delay is introduced.

Type network.dns.disableIPv6 in the filter search bar and set this option to true by double clicking on it.

6. CONTENT INTERRUPT PARSING

This preference controls the application will interrupt parsing a page to respond to UI events. It does not exist by default.

Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window, select New and then Boolean from the pop-up menu. Then:

A. Enter content.interrupt.parsing in the New boolean value pop-up window and click OK

B. When prompted to choose the value for the new boolean, select true and click OK.

7. Rather than wait until a page has completely downloaded to display it to the user, Mozilla applications will regularly render what has been received to that point. This option controls the maximum amount of time the application will be unresponsive while rendering pages.

Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window, select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.

A. Enter content.max.tokenizing.time in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK

B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 2250000 and click OK.

8. CONTENT NOTIFY INTERVAL

This option sets the minimum amount of time to wait between reflows. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window, select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.

A. Type content.notify.interval in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.

B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 750000 and click OK.

9. CONTENT NOTIFY ONTIMER

A. This option sets if to reflow pages at an interval any higher than that specified by content.notify.interval. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Boolean from the pop-up menu.

B. Type content.notify.ontimer in the New boolean value pop-up window and click OK.

C. You will be prompted to choose the value for the new boolean. Select true and click OK.

10. Notify Backoffcount

This option controls the maximum number of times the content will do timer-based reflows. After this number has been reached, the page will only reflow once it is finished downloading.

Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.

A. Enter content.notify.backoffcount in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.

B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 5 and click OK.

11. CONTENT SWITCH THRESHOLD

You can interact with a loading page when content.interrupt.parsing is set to true. When a page is loading, the application has two modes: a high frequency interrupt mode and a low frequency interrupt mode. The first one interrupts the parser more frequently to allow for greater UI responsiveness during page load.

The low frequency interrupt mode interrupts the parser less frequently to allow for quicker page load. The application enters high frequency interrupt mode when you move the mouse or type on the keyboard and switch back to low frequency mode when you had no activity for a certain amount of time. This preference controls that amount of time.

Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.

A. Enter content.switch.threshold in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.

B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 750000 and click OK.

12. NGLAYOUT INITIALPAINT DELAY

Mozilla applications render web pages incrementally, they display what's been received of a page before the entire page has been downloaded. Since the start of a web page normally doesn't have much useful information to display, Mozilla applications will wait a short interval before first rendering a page. This preference controls that interval.

Rightclick (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.

A. Enter nglayout.initialpaint.delay in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.

B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 0 and click OK.

The Future Of Rafa Benitez

Technorati Technorati Tags : , , , ,

Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks says he held talks with Jurgen Klinsmann in November about taking over as manager in case Rafael Benitez left the club.

"We attempted to negotiate an option as an insurance policy... if Rafa left for Real Madrid or other clubs rumoured, " Hicks told the Liverpool Echo. This happened when the club were in danger of going out of the Champions League at the group stages and suffering indifferent league form.

The American owners and Benitez had clear-the-air talks after the Premier League loss to Manchester United on 16 December and Hicks now insists the Reds manager has their full support. "After George and I had our long and productive meeting with Rafa following the Manchester United match, we put all of our issues behind us and received Rafa's commitment that he wanted to stay with Liverpool. Rafa has both of our support, and our communication has greatly improved."

The above excerpt was taken from Liverpool's official website www.liverpoolfc.tv & BBC.

Let's put this into a layman's perspective. How would you feel if your boss confessed that he/she was looking for other people to replace you. Put aside the claim that your employer is looking for insurance against you leaving your workplace.

Only one word came to my mind. Incompetence! The boss must be feeling that you are not living up to their expectation. In a more harsh tone, "you simply not good enough"!

So how will this affect Mr. Benitez? Another word come to my mind: Insecure! How can he possibly foresee his long term future at Liverpool when the American owners doubted his ability. True enough Mr. Hicks clarified that they have cleared the air and now has their fully support, but personally I think the damage has been done. Not a single person can withstand such demoralizing statement from their bosses unless you are a few days away from retirement. And knowing the "ego" Mr. Benitez has, he'll surely feel embarrass to his players and fellow managers about this.

As Jamie Carragher puts it, it's not the Liverpool way to wash dirty linens in public. True, Mr Hicks was very honest thru his admission, but this will put more spotlight on Liverpool and provide further opportunities for the media frenzy folks to speculate on his future. Trust me, all bad results will be put through the most detailed scrutiny from now on.

That leaves Benitez with no other alternative apart from quitting the club. The current situation doesn't help either. Liverpool's form has not improved and we are currently 12 points off the top of the Premier League table. We were knocked out of the Carling Cup by Chelsea and have been taken to a replay by struggling Luton in the FA Cup third round. If I'm a betting man, I will put my money on Mr Benitez to leave the club at the end of this season. Any takers?

12DailyPro Refund Procedure

Technorati Technorati Tags : , , ,

For those who were scammed by Charis Johnson and Stormpay thru the legendary 12DailyPro autosurf program, here's your last chance to get some refunds from the receiver.

The Court has set a claims bar date of January 31, 2008 and made it mandatory for investors to log in and take the steps outlined in the Notice in order to have a claim and receive a distribution from the receivership estate. Please review the Notice carefully.

In order to validate your claim you need to logon to the investor's webportal.

For instructions on how to access and use the Web Portal, please visit the Receiver's website at http://www.tlennonfor12dailypro.com and review the instructions and frequently asked questions (FAQs). You may need to register as a first time user using the email for your 12DP account.

Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email. Click on the link to validate your account. Once you are logged in, goto transaction tab. Key-in your 12DP userid (email) or stormpay/egold/EMO id. For stormpay users, you need to key in the email address used for Stormpay. Press Add and the system will generate your account information.

If the amount listed next to "MIMO Amount" above is a negative number (shown by parenthesis), it means that your investments or deposits with 12DP exceeded the distributions made by 12DP to your Internet payment processor account (including chargebacks and electronic fund transfer reversals).

You will have an allowed claim in that amount if you check the "Accept" box. If, on the other hand, the amount listed next to "MIMO Amount" above is a positive number, it means that the distributions made by 12DP to your Internet payment processor account exceeded your investments or deposits with 12DP and, therefore, you will have no claim against 12DP if you check the "Accept" box.

If you choose to dispute the "MIMO Amount" (by checking the "Dispute" box), you must submit an investor proof of claim form, along with copies of all documentation supporting your claim amount to the Receiver by January 31, 2008. If, upon further consideration, you decide to accept the claim amount on the Web Portal, you can log back in and change the designation by clicking the "Accept" box.

Good luck guys.
